Our ‘A’ Team made the trip to Newmarket earlier this afternoon . The game ended in stalemate at nil all . 

We would like to Thank Newmarket Celtic Physio Martin Cooney for assisting us when we had two of our players injured at the same time this afternoon - following a clash of heads. One had to go to hospital - so we were grateful indeed for Martin's help🤝

A Ten goal thriller in lees road this morning , where our B Team found themselves 3-0 down after 23 minutes . We managed to get 2 goals back in the 30th and 40th minute with goals from George Quinn and Cian Darcy . 3-2 halftime.  Within 5 minutes of the restart we had equalised thanks to a well taken finish from Leo Johnson . Leo then turned provider when he was upended by the opposition goalkeeper and Gary Roche made no mistake from the spot as he dispatched the penalty . Roche doubled his tally for the day in the 67th minute . 5-3 to the Avenue 🎶 To Rhine’s credit they pulled another goal back 3 minutes later to make it 5-4 . Leo Johnson doubled his tally for the day in the 75th minute to make 6-4 to the visitors and that is how it ended . Great character and fight shown by the squad to come from 3-0 down to gain maximum roads away from home .

Avenue United ‘C’ 🆚 Tulla United ‘B’  (Postponed) 

Our Men’s ‘C’ Team game scheduled for this morning was postponed due to referee becoming unavailable to attend due to injury . We wish the match official in question a quick and full recovery .
