Our A Team were on the road again this evening but this time it was only a short trip to Steeles Rock Park to take on hosts Lifford AFC in a town derby . It was the hosts who took the lead after just  8 minutes following a great strike from their centre midfielder. In fact it remained 1-0 to the hosts at half time . 
Shortly into the second half (49th minute to be precise! ) , we levelled the game through a well taken penalty from McGann . Shortly after the hour mark , we took the lead when Mark Roche got his head to a cross from Dylan Casey . 
Lifford were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute but Luke Woodrow produced a fantastic save and 60 seconds later we had our third goal of the game, cooly slotted finish from our captain Ronan Kerin . To the oppositions credit they kept pushing and they did manage to pull a second goal back in the 92nd minute . 3-2 to the Avenue it finished💪⚽️🍒

Up Next for our A Team is a trip to Shannon to play Shannon Olympic on Saturday evening .
