Avenue U17s  took on Newmarket Celtic in the U17 Division 1 cup semi final in Roslevan earlier today. In a game that had everything., Newmarket took the lead after just 3 minutes. Newmarket then doubled their lead mid way through the first half following the awarding of penalty.. Avenue fought back to bring the game back to 2:2 by half time. In a full blooded second half, Newmarket were awarded another penalty and went into a 3:2 lead with 15 minutes to go. Avenue went in search of an equaliser and with about 5 minutes to go slotted the ball home from the edge of the box to force the game into extra time. In the first half of extra time Avenue scored a wonder goal to take the lead for the first time in the game. And that turned out to be the last score of the game with Avenue holding on for a 4:3 win.

Well done to all Players and coaches for getting to yet another Cup Final 👏👏
