Our A Team made the trip to Newmarket this morning knowing that a draw would be enough to win the league title. We found ourselves 1-0 down after only 90 seconds , Newmarket latching on to a second ball from a cleared corner kick . We equalised from a corner of our own when Mark Roche flicked the ball on from the near post and it found its way into the net . Newmarket regained the lead through a sensational strike . 2-1 to the hosts it remained at half time . 
Again, our boys had to come from a goal down and our second goal came from a nice finish inside the box from Jamie Roche . Credit to the lads who didn’t stop there , they got our third and the games fifth goal when a through ball found Eoghan Thynne and he made no mistake and slotted past the advancing Goalkeeper.  We defended extremely well for the remaining couple of minutes as our defence stood firm to make sure that the game ended 3-2 to the Avenue 🎶  

CDSL Premier League Champions 2024- Well done to all Players and Coaches involved . Thanks to all who travelled to support the team this morning . We look forward to seeing you all again next weekend in Sixmilebridge where we will be presented with the League Trophy and also on the 25th May for the Cup Final .

Our Youthful B Team made the short trip to Kilmaley this afternoon and unfortunately just came up short against a very good Connolly Celtic team .
