Well done to our A Team who had a comfortable performance and result this morning . It was indeed the hosts who applied the early pressure creating a number of chances but credit to Shannon Town who defended brilliantly . We took the lead from a free kick which was delivered by Stephen Jordan into the box and headed to the back of the net by Mossy . We continued to create chances for the rest of the first half but could not manage to get the second goal. Half Time 1-0
We began the second half just like the first again creating multiple chances , Stevie Jordan heading just over the bar from a header at the back post . Mikey Dinan delivered a great cross into the box and Ronan’s header came back off the crossbar . Philip Talty and Witness both had chances to double our lead but both found their efforts going narrowly wide of the goal. We did indeed manage to double our lead when a great cross to the back post was tapped home from Gary Roche . We added a third shortly after when Mikey Dinan found himself on the ball just outside the opposition box and he decided to shoot with the outside of his right foot , 3-0 to the Avenue was the chant from the Young supporters club 🎶
The game ended 3-0 . Credit to Shannon Town C who again defended resolutely and worked hard all game .
Thanks to all the supporters who attended the game this morning and Well done to Players and Management team as they advance to Round 3 of the Clare Cup .
Up Next is Munster Junior Cup 1/2 Final Next Sunday at 3pm in Cahir Park Co. Tipperary . We look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible at next weekends game .

Well done to our Junior B team who had a great performance and result earlier this afternoon .
We found ourselves 1-0 down early on conceding a goal from a corner but reacted well and equalised from a corner of our own when Richie Fitzgerald scored from a header. We quickly scored a second from a free kick when Youths player Owen Hadden produced an unbelievable strike from the set piece .
We added a third when Owen scored another from the penalty spot .
Rhine Rovers managed to pull a second goal of their own back but we added 2 further goals from Gavin D’’Auria and Marve Ediruke to seal our place in Round 3 of the Clare Cup . Well done to all Players and Coaches involved .
